Takaoka City:
Aeon Internet booths -- Good if you want to quickly check your e-mails because other places will charge you for a whole hour even if you only want a short time.
Cost: 10 min./100 yen
Location: Outside of Tower Records in Aeon shopping mall near Takaoka. You must take a bus from Takaoka Station.
AirsCafe -- You have to be a member to use the facilities but membership is free. You will need to take your gaijin card with you when you join. They will give you a membership card and you’ll just have to take that with you when you go. There is a free drink bar, and you can also order food.

Location: It is on the side of the Saty building, near the cinema and McDonald's.

Location: Use the main exit of Takaoka Station onto the main street. Walk to the far end of the Kojo Koen (the big park) and take a right. Walk straight for quite a while and go through three sets of traffic lights. The shop should be on the left-hand side before the 4th traffic light, to the left of a bright yellow “Tsutaya” video store.
Melty - This place has lots of services for computer users -- printing, CDs and floppy disks, etc. --, as well as food and drink, all for a price.
Hours: M-F 11am - 12am, Sunday 11am - 10pm
Cost: non-members: 1 hr. & 1 drink/500 yen, members: 30 min./100 yen (no drink)
Location: It is located near the Bunka Hall, Takaoka High School and Shimin Hospital.
