- Extra travel insurance! - if you're going abroad you may want to consider getting extra travel insurance to keep you covered. Have a look at this guide to applying online written by Michael in Tochigi
- Guidance for British Nationals Arrested in Japan - this document was produced by the British Consulate in Osaka. It mostly refers to British people but the general procedures will apply to all JETs. A sobering but interesting read. Please don't do anything illegal whilst in Japan!
- Penalties for Traffic Offenses In December 2006 strict new penalties were introduced for government workers (JETs!) who commit traffic offenses. Read the attached file and make sure you're aware of the consequences of driving dangerously in Japan.
