Getting There: Next to KFC on Rt. 41 and another one on Rt. 8 about a 5 minute drive from Marushin. Continue down the Marushin road until you get to the intersection with Rt.8 (there will be an Autobachs on the corner) turn left; it'll be a little way down on your right.
Coco's /Apple Barn/ Apple Grimm/ Gusto/ Tomato and Onion
They're all pretty much the same… For those of you not familiar with these places, they're "family dining restaurants". They have a lot of Japanese style Western foods on the menu, like hamburger steaks, but they also have a few Mexican entrees, french toast and great apple pie a la mode to name a few. The burger at Gusto is really good!!
Getting There: There are a bunch of them in Toyama, one is located across the street from the Green Mall and one near Sakura-dori south of Tateyama-dori. Another is located in Kosugi at the AL Plaza.

Getting There: One is located by Toyama Station across from McDonald's, another is on Rt. 41 past the art museum, another is two kilometers or so past Marushin (look at the entry for Marushin in the international supermarkets section) near Rt. 8, and one just over Kurehayama.

Getting There: There are several McDonald's in Toyama City. One in front of Toyama Station to the right (but no breakfast), one on Rt. 41 towards the airport, one near Marushin (look at the map for Marushin in the international supermarket section), one in Kureha, one near the University under Toys R Us, and the list keeps growing... just look for the golden arches, as usual. Beware though, they usually shut at 9 p.m., and not all serve breakfast.
Mister Donuts
Sorry, no catchy slogan for this one, but they do have 100yen donut days, where every donut is 100yen. Watch out for the curry filled donuts too!! The "Pon de ring" usually wins rave reviews. They won’t be as sweet as back home, but they’re still a wee bit o’ goodness.
They also have a frequent buyer card to earn free donuts, and unlimited free refills on café au lait.
Getting There: There's one in front of Toyama Station, another in Nishi-cho, a third near Marushin, one in the Green mall parking lot, and one across from the Kureha McDonald's. Free coffee refills!
