Delhi is a great little Indian restaurant. The combination of delicious food prepared by Indian chefs, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make this place a favorite. They have many curries and other dishes (but stick with the curries). They also have both lunch and dinner sets which are great; the lunch set costs about 800 yen. The dinner set is about 1600 yen and includes soup, appetizer, curries, nan, a couple of small pieces of meat and chai. They have imported wine and beer, including Golden Eagle from India. Also, the menu has pictures (easy ordering!)
Getting There: Delhi is located off of Sakura Doori, on Tateyama Doori ( which is the Arisawa Bridge that crosses the Jinzu River). Its located on the 1st floor of the "Urban Square" building, right by Family Video. From the station, walk straight, past the Castle Park and keep going until you reach Tateyama-dori (it’s marked in romaji) and turn right. Delhi is just before the river, a 35 minute walk or a 15 minute bike ride from the station.
Santoshi

The food here is fantastic. It is all Indian curries, made by an Indian chef. The prices are moderate for Japan, about 1100-1400 yen for a curry, or 1400 yen for a ladies set meal. There is also a great range of vegetarian curry options available (you can see the extensive full menu at http://www.m-henna.com/santoshi/top.htm). The owner, an Indian guy, speaks English and Japanese.
Getting There: Exit the south exit of Toyama Station, and turn right on the main road running parallel to the train tracks. Walk 2 blocks, and you will see an orange and yellow sign saying "Santoshi" on the side of a building. The restaurant is next to the henna hair place.
New Delhi
Confusingly enough, there’s another Indian restaurant in Toyama called New Delhi. This place is conveniently located under pub Pot Still. Beware, the owners are nowhere near as friendly as Santoshi, so don’t expect great service. The curries are also slightly more expensive, at around 1300-1500 yen. In my opinion, walk the extra 5 minutes and go to Santoshi instead.
Getting There: Delhi is located on the same road as Booker's, directly under pub Pot Still.
