Lunch for 850 yen, a different selection everyday. Buffet style choice of about 4 main items, plus side salad, ice cream, coffee etc. OK food and convenient location.
Getting There: Shimin (市民) Plaza is just across from the castle, in the street down beside the big new hotel/conference centre.
ANA Hotel
11:00 until 14:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
During these brief hours, the restaurant on the ground floor of the classy ANA Hotel is an all-you-can-eat buffet. After 2:00, it turns into a regular restaurant where you order off the menu. The weekend buffet usually has two or three main meat or fish dishes, half a dozen Japanese and western salads, fruit, bread and rolls, a make-your-own pancake grill, a dessert bar, ice cream, and beverages. Cost is 1500 yen per person. You can probably wear whatever you want, but it is an upscale hotel, so people tend to dress well.
Getting there: The ANA hotel is across the street from the Castle. It is huge, you can’t miss it. The restaurant is part of the main lobby.
