JET Sports Teams
During the years, there have been many JET teams for several different sports, including volleyball and football (soccer). If you have any ideas for a new team, that would be great!
Oishii Mizu – Football Team
In June 2003 nearly half of all ALT’s in Toyama-ken competed in or watched the All Japan AET tournament in Nagano. Inter-prefectural sports tournaments are also held in Niigata, Nagano, Ishikawa and Tochigi Prefectures.
Three years ago the Oishii Mizu football (soccer) team played in the Tochigi tournament, and despite not being very good we managed to beat the hosts…… before losing to them 3-0 the following day to get knocked out.
We are always looking for new players, (regardless of ability) and we have regular kickabouts so please come and get involved. A number of JETs play with a group of Japanese guys every Monday night in Kurobe (Koshino JHS), please ask Jake Groves for details.
